Crossroads Christian School is a covenant Christian school that has been educating children for over 25 years. We offer smaller classes, shorter school days, and extensive parental involvement.
We believe God has given parents the primary responsibility of educating their children, and thus the school is to function as an extension of the home. CCS supplements what is learned at home by teaching love and obedience to God, by pursuing academic excellence, and by developing Christian and social graces. The ultimate goal of CCS is to teach its students to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
All students attend classes Monday through Thursday and have homeschool days on Fridays. Families enjoy a flexible schedule for completing assigned work on Fridays. Special events and field trips are mostly reserved for Fridays in order for us to maximize learning time with classroom teachers.
Kindergarten classes meet from 8:30 to 12:30 four days a week, Monday through Thursday. First and second-grade classes also meet four hours a day on Monday through Wednesday, but have enrichment classes on Thursdays until 2:45. On Thursday afternoons, parents take turns teaching a variety of assigned topics in first and second grades by bringing their own experiences and prepared lessons to their child’s classroom. Through field trips and ideas from supplemental materials made available at school, parents share the joy of learning with these young first and second graders!
Third through eighth grades attend school six hours four days a week. On Fridays, students are either at home with their parents doing assigned work, or are participating in planned activities or field trips. Knowing how busy children’s schedules are with homework and extracurricular activities, CCS hopes to facilitate more family time with a shorter and more efficient school schedule.
